About Project
A major pain point for Hamahe Aval customers was the cumbersome process of changing SIM card ownership, requiring in-person visits and carrying financial risk. To address this frustration, Hamahe Aval introduced a groundbreaking online platform, enabling seamless ownership transfers from the comfort of home, eliminating queues and financial risks. This service was to be launched on the domain shop.mci.ir, which is the e-commerce platform of Hamrahe Aval.
I collaborated with a PM in this project.
Challenges & Limitations
The main challenge in this project was addressing the legal and security issues surrounding SIM card ownership transfer and financial transactions between parties.
Interview
To Recognize the challenges of transitioning a physical service to an online service, I proactively engaged Hamrahe Aval store employees through targeted interviews. Their invaluable insights, often overlooked in traditional design approaches, revealed critical user needs like: the prevalence of SIM card dealers, concerns about secure money transfers, and the burden of in-person coordination. I leveraged these findings to design an intuitive online platform with robust security measures and flexible scheduling options, empowering customers to navigate the new service with confidence.
Persona & Scenario
Leveraging the insights from my interviews and data from previous research conducted by my colleagues, I designed personas for this service.

Persona & Scenario
User Flows
Armed with insights from my review of similar ownership transfer platforms, I had a productive meeting with the product manager. My data-driven proposals significantly improved the initial document, including streamlining workflows and addressing security vulnerabilities. This iterative approach resulted in a enhanced user flow. Some of the key features include:
User authentication using biometric identification (KYC)
Issuing a transfer code for both parties
Creating a secure payment gateway
A fully online process for transferring ownership and activating the SIM card

Hi-Fi Designs
Mobile Version
Understanding the diverse user base, the mobile version prioritizes clarity and ease of navigation. The ownership transfer process of postpaid SIM cards for transferor and recipient is presented below.
Note: The styles used in the design are in line with the styles that were to be used in the new version of shop.mci.ir.
Simcard Transferor Descriptions
To simplify user access and meet their primary needs, the main sections of the service are displayed on the homepage: "I am the recipient", "I am the transferor", "History", "FAQ", and a button to link to the landing page for SIM card ownership transfer.
Note: the screenshot below shows the page as it appears when the user is logged in.

One solution for the phone number entry section was to have the user enter the number manually. However, this could lead to errors. I decided to display a list of the user's SIM cards with information about each one so that they could simply select the one they want.
